Join us in the Social Hall to reminisce about the church fire fifty years ago. Watch a short video of the church burning, view newspaper clippings and photos, read a personal account of the fire and see memorabilia.
Saturday evening, April 28th – 5 to 7 p.m. – Snacks will be served
Sunday morning, April 29th – 11:00 am to 1:00 pm – Breakfast Brunch – Free will offering.
We are also celebrating Father Steve Adrian’s 76th birthday with cake and ice cream both days. He will also be the celebrant for Sunday mass at 10:00 a.m.
The Catholic Order of Foresters has kindly offered to share the Sunday event space with us in honor of their 125thanniversary. They were scheduled to have a brunch Sunday morning and we will combine both anniversaries. They will have a table with information so stop by and learn about them.
Where were you in 1968? Did you see the church burn or take pictures of it after the fire? As reported at the Fire Hall Museum, this April 15, 1968, fire was the fourth largest fire in St. Paul that year at $231,000.
If you have items you are willing to share, please connect with Linda Rivera or Karen Thompson via the Parish Center at 651-224-9793. Your items will be clearly marked and returned to you. You can take them with you after the celebration.
