Distribution of Food to Anyone who Needs It Event

Due to a delay in the truck arrival from Des Moines, Iowa, we were informed that this food distribution would be rescheduled to Friday, October 16. That is what we posted here and on our Facebook page. However, we later learned that the truck arrived mid afternoon on Thursday and that distribution of 2400 boxes of milk and food occurred between 2:30 and 6 pm on Thursday. We apologize to those who came on Friday to receive free USDA food.

I walked around the building multiple times of new date during just now and saw no way to get in or information or any line whatsoever. Nobody answered the phone. Now cold without food. Big waste of time.

Sorry, Gabriel. I also drove by at about 11:35 today (Friday) and saw that the food truck and volunteers have not yet arrived. Must have been a further delay in the shipment from Des Moines I do not know when they will arrive. I have sent a note to our parish administrator, John. Please check back later for an update.

      Gabriel:
I am sorry for your inconvenience and for the fact that there was no food when you came to the property.
The group giving out the food re-scheduled it for Thursday afternoon even after telling me that it was going to be Friday morning. They did not tell me their change of plans.
We put it on the website as a service to folks like yourself, whom we know would benefit from that kind of food.
Are you aware of the other places on the West Side who are making food available to all comers?
