Fall Festival update 8-25-2019

Published August 25, 2019

St. Matthew’s Fall Festival, September 14-15, 2019

TIME’S FLYING!!!

Only 3 weeks until our annual Parish Fall Festival!!

Time is short and donations have been light!

We need everyone’s help to make this another successful event!

DONATIONS: We will be pleased to accept your donations before and after mass every Saturday and Sunday. Please bring them to the back of the church. Donations during the week, Monday through Thursday 9am—4pm will be accepted at the Parish Center.

Still looking for donations…we received a handful last week, but just a handful. The Fall Festival is our parish’s largest fundraiser, it happens with the help of every single parishioner, me, you, and the person the seat next you at Mass.  Not to mention, it’s fun!! Let’s go fellow parishioners; let’s be bigger and better than last year, please go shopping, bring your donations to Mass or the Parish Center.  And thank you for caring for and supporting Saint Matthew’s.

If you don’t like to shop and want to make a cash donation and let the Silent Auction ladies shop, they will be happy to do so, just mark your donation as such.

Donation Suggestions include:

Bakery: Baked Goods, Canned goods, crafts

Jewelry: Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, clips, hats, purses, scarves, religious items

Pie Booth: Any type of pie, ice cream (gallon size) needed the week of festival.

Bottle Lotto: Separate wrapped candy, fruit roll-ups, snacks, small toys for boys & girls.

Root Beer Floats: Root Beer and any other flavor pop in liter bottles.

Kids’ Games: Prizes for kids of all ages. Crayons, coloring books, small toys, etc. (Oriental Trading is an excellent web site as is Amazon.com. Search under “Carnival Prizes”. Many prizes for reasonable price.)

Silent Auction: New items only! Gift certificates, items for children, small appliances etc. Wine and liquor baskets did very well last year, too!

No Collectibles or used items. Include Price on Items!

Paddle Wheel: Gift cards needed! These can be purchased at Scrip Table in back of church. By buying cards from Scrip, you are donating to the church Twice!!

Attic Treasures: Useable articles. Toys, games, dishes, small electronics (No TVs) pictures, books, collectibles etc.
