There will be no general meeting on August 14th, see you in September!
We had 52 people for the Miesville game. The cost to the club was about $10.00 per person which included a ride to the park and beverages on the bus. This was a great social activity for not only the Men’s Club but for members of the parish.
St Paul Saints
Tim bought 25 tickets and sold all of them, I think this was the first time I remember selling all of tickets. The club subsidized the cost of the tickets, so it cost us around $125.00. This was also another fun social event for the club and for others in attendance.
The parish Fall Festival will take place the weekend of September 14 -15. We will be actively helping at the fest, more details to come.
Sister Anne paid us a visit to talk about the direction our church is going to reduce our waste. She talked a little about the vision. The first event using this new practice will be at the mass in Cherokee Park on Sunday August 18th at 10:30am. She asked us to be a part of the change, set an example and urge others to participate at the event. They are looking for people to be on the Earth Care committee, see Sister Anne if you are interested.
Strawberry cleaning will begin at 8am on Wednesday August 21st and will continue daily at 8am until Sunday September 1st. If you have time to help stop down to the social hall.
The meat raffles continue to be a consistent fund raiser for the men’s club, if you can help on Friday’s at Gallagher’s around 5pm please sign up on the sheet that will be passed around at the general meeting.
