Men’s Club news January 2018

Published January 7, 2018

Next Men’s Club meeting: Wednesday, January 10th at 7:30 pm

Menu: Ken Kasheimer’s famous chili and cold cut sandwiches (not his famous sandwiches, just his famous chili).

All Campus Gathering

St Matts will be holding an all campus get together in the social hall on Monday, January 22nd. This will be to showcase all the organizations that do work for the church including the Men’s Club. Dinner and displays will start at 5, dinner will be with loaves and fishes.

Manger Take Down

Manger take down will be this Saturday January 13th at 9am, Dennis will report.

Sick and Vigil

Bob Nowak continues having health problems, Tim Nowak is on the mend and Dean Steinbrenner is recovering from surgery number two. Please keep Bob, Dean, Tim and all club members in your prayers.

Community of Saints School Benefit

The Community of Saints school benefit will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, in St. Matthew’s Social Hall from 6-9pm.  This year’s theme is the “Souper” Bowl-the evening will include a food drive, local food tastings, appetizers, Mystery Bags, silent auction, games, and a WHOLE lot of fun!  Look for ticket sales begin in the New Year!  At this time, Cossetta’s, Cora’s Wings, Boca Chica and Joseph’s have all committed to providing food for the event!

The COS is looking for help at the bar for this event and help with the cost of the beverages, we will discuss in more detail at the general meeting.

Big Game Party

The Men’s Club will be hosting a big game party on Sunday February 4th. I am guessing doors will open around 5:30. The club will cover the cost of the event. Feel free to bring along any dishes to share if you like. Invite family, friends and neighbors. All ages welcome!

Meat Raffles

Raffles continue to bring a consistent flow of funds to the club, we can always use help. Tim will pass around a sign-up sheet at the meeting.
