Men’s Club News October 2018

Published October 6, 2018

Monthly Meeting

Wednesday, October 10, 8 pm, in the Social Hall. Menu – Brats, hot dogs, burgers, etc.

Elections

We will hold elections at this meeting. We are having issues filling positions, so we want to discuss how we move forward with this process in the future. We have spots open if you would like to run.

Fall Fest

The men’s club helped make this a success. We contributed about $500.00 toward the fest plus we provided help. Our beverage manager Bill Lynch made some positive changes that increased the profit at the bar. Thanks to everyone that pitched in this year.

Touch a Truck

The touch a truck event was also a successful event for the club, we made a nice profit. Thanks to those that helped at this event.

COF Fix it Fund Raiser Dinner

The dinner will be held on October 27th. The Catholic Order of Forrester’s will match up to a set dollar amount. The Men’s Club is paying for the food and Greg Arrigoni is cooking the dinner.

Sick and Vigil

Evan Burgs father in-law is suffering from brain cancer. Ken Kasheimer is in the hospital recovering from knee replacement (doing good) and Bob Nowak continues to deal with health issues related to earlier procedures. Please keep them and their families in your prayers.

Meat Raffles

Raffles continue to bring a consistent flow of funds to the club, we can always use help. Tim will pass around a sign-up sheet at the meeting.

Manger Set-up and Take Down Opportunity

We are looking for someone to head up the manger set-up and take down. This has been a men’s club tradition for many years that we would like to continue, let us know if you are interested in heading this up.

Coffee Sunday has Returned

Each Sunday at 11:00 am from September to June a different group within St. Matthew’s hosts Coffee Sunday. The men’s club will be taking one of the upcoming Sundays, we will let you know when it is our turn to host.
