Next meeting: Wednesday, October 9, at 7:30 pm in the Social Hall
Menu – Larry Poplar will be hosting the October general meeting dinner. He will be serving brats, bean salad, chips and a cookie. He will be taking a free will offering and will match donations up to a total of $250.00. This donation will go towards the upcoming Catholic Order of Foresters matching funds dinner which will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 immediately following the 4:15 mass. There is no cost for the dinner, however, they rely on your generous donations to achieve the goal of raising money to fund ramp and worship-space railings for the church.
Alcohol Awareness Training
We will be having alcohol awareness training at the November 6th board meeting. The training will be at 7:30pm and is open to all members. This training is a requirement to tend bar at any social hall functions. If you are interested just show up that day for the meeting.
Turkey Bingo
The Men’s Club will be holding the annual turkey bingo on Saturday November 9th right after the 4:15 mass. The club will be selling food and beverages like bingo’s in the past. This is family friendly event, please invite family, friends and neighbors.
Elections
We will be holding elections at the October meeting. We will have spots open if you would like to run.
Sick and Vigil
Bob Bejblik’s Mother Pearl suffered a major stroke on Wednesday October 2nd and is unresponsive. Please keep Pearl, Bob and their family in your prayers.
Meat Raffles
Meat raffles continue to bring a consistent flow of funds to the club, we can always use help. Tim will pass around a sign-up sheet at the meeting.
Coffee Sunday and Vikings Game
The Men’s Club will host the October 20th coffee Sunday right after the 10:15 mass. Directly following coffee Sunday, we will be airing the Viking’s versus Lions game on the big screen. This will be a fun filled day of good food, football and fellowship.
Manger Set-up and Take Down Opportunity
The Men’s Club will continue years of tradition setting up and taking down the manger scene across from the church. The set-up will be Saturday December 14th at 9am and the take down will be Saturday January 11th at 9am. This is a fun group project!
