Oktoberfest will be Saturday-Sunday, October 7-8, 2017. Oktoberfest activities have not yet been finalized. We invite you to attend our Monday night planning meetings at 7 pm in the Parish Center.
To give you a flavor of what our two-day parish festival is like, past Oktoberfests have included the following activities:
St. Matt’s Hoops Tournament – your basketball team must sign up in advance. Contact info for tournament organizers will be posted in the church bulletin. This has been a popular activity at past Oktoberfests, so don’t miss out on your chance to participate. Basketball games are played in the old St. Matthew’s School gym.
Silent Auction – We are looking for donations of single items such as small appliances, toys, gift items, handcraft items or home décor; theme baskets for holidays, birthdays, shower gifts, house warming, kitchen or garden; and providing a service such as yard clean up, paint a room or homemade goodies.
Saturday 4 pm Mass – May be outside this year and might be a Polka Mass (still trying to round up musicians).
Dinner/dance/bingo – Still in planning stage
Kids’ games – Sunday
Tacos, miscellaneous food items, beverages
Bake Sale
Granny’s Closet
Jewelry Sale
What fun or delicious activity could you suggest and organize for Oktoberfest 2017?
