Oktoberfest: October 7-8, 2017 – update

Published August 12, 2017

We will have our festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 7th and 8th. We have some details to work out but we’re still looking for someone to chair or for co-chairs for the Holiday Booth and Grandma’s Treasures. We will be asking you to sign up to volunteer next week or contact a booth chair and let them know you want to be in their booth and how much time you can help.

Here’s a list of our plans but we are still finalizing all the details.  More to come.

Saturday

Bingo will begin at 5:30 until 9:00.

A variety of food items will be available in the Social Hall right after mass at 5 p.m.

Several booths will be open starting at 3 p.m. – including our bakery booth, jewelry, Silent Auction, Grandma’s Treasures and holiday items.

Kids booths and games will be open on Sunday – not on Saturday.

Sunday

All booths and children’s games will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We will be pleased to accept your donations before and after mass every Saturday and Sunday.  Bring them to the back room.   Monday through Friday donations will be accepted at the Parish Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Donation suggestions include:

Silent Auction – New items, gift certificates, collectibles

Animal Rescue – Larger stuffed animals

Entertainment Center now called Merchandise Mart, – DVDs, CDs, books, games, puzzles, tapes

Bakery – Baked goods, canned goods, crafts

Jewelry – Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, clips, hats, purses, scarves, and religious items.

Pie Booth – Any type of pie, ice cream (gallon size) week of festival in case we need to buy additional

Bottle Lotto – Have enough plastic bottles – no need to donate them.   Wrapped goods, no bubble gum, cash and we will purchase candy, etc.

Root Beer Floats – Root beer and any other flavor pop in liter bottles.

Festival chairs and phone numbers:

Here are some of the chairs. Phone numbers and email addresses are not published online (for privacy) but are available in the parish bulletin insert or by calling the parish center at 651-224-9793.
