Oktoberfest: Silent Auction needs people and donations

The Silent Auction is one of the largest sources of revenue for Oktoberfest. A lot of work goes in the booth. We have broken down the need to help so you can volunteer for as much as you want. We need volunteers before, during and after Octoberfest.

We are looking for people to help:

  • Stuff envelopes
  • Make follow up phone calls
  • Go door to door asking for donations
  • Pick up donations
  • Put baskets together
  • Someone with basic computer skills to help with bid slips and record
  • Donations
  • Help setting up or working a shift
  • Writing thank you notes after the festival.

To volunteer call the parish office at [encode_content]651-224-9793[/encode_content].

Silent Auction Donations

The Silent Auction Committee is looking for donations of NEW ITEMS ONLY.

Single items such as: small appliances, toys, gift items, handcraft items or home décor.

Theme baskets for: Holidays, Birthdays, Shower gifts, House Warming, Kitchen or garden.

Provide a service: Fall yard clean up, Paint a Room or Homemade Goodies.

Last year we did receive comments that there were not enough items for men. If you have a suggestion for an item please let us know.

I have been looking for information about your Oktoberfest activities and all I come up with is the silent auction request for donations and help. What is Oktoberfest, when is it, specifically, and where is it held. Also, for me your web site is difficult to maneuver through to acquire info.

Robert, this is webmaster Richard. Thanks for commenting. I will try to round up more info on Oktoberfest activities. In what ways are you finding it difficult to maneuver through our website? What computer operating system or mobile device are you using? What browser are you using (including version number)? We have tried to organize the site logically in the most helpful way we could think of.

Here is tentative lineup of activities: https://st-matts.org/oktoberfest-october-7-8-2017-planning-continues/
