HAPPY NEW YEAR! (AND CONTINUED CHRISTMAS WISHES)
I hope your Christmas season has been splendid, with many opportunities for time with loved ones. I know I’ve enjoyed worshipping at St. Matt’s, spending time with friends and family, and having my daughter in town for Christmas vacation.
Special thanks to music director Jill Kilzer, our choir members, and all the musicians who’ve enhanced our worship during this season. I’ve heard many compliments!
My hope for 2023 is that all of us are a light for others, as Fr. Steve said in a recent homily. In my short time here, I’ve repeatedly seen St. Matt’s as a light to the West Side and beyond. I expect to see more such light in the new year. Let’s continue to work together and support each other, further strengthening our parish and our community.
STEWARDSHIP
Thank you for your support throughout 2022. Your generosity makes it possible for our parish to sustain our ministries.
Note that contributions received through Saturday, December 31, are counted in 2022. Any contributions received on Sunday, January 1 (or later), will be recorded as 2023 contributions. Either way, thank you for your support!
NEW HYMNAL BOOKPLATES
It’s still possible to honor people in your life by dedicating a new hymnal. You can do that with a special nameplate we put inside the front cover. The recommended donation is $20, used to defray the cost of the hymnals. Non-nameplate hymnal donations are also gratefully accepted. Call the office for details.
Merry Christmas Season and Happy New Year! May there be peace in your family, in our nation, and the world.
