VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES & PARISH NEEDS
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
COMMUNION TO HOMEBOUND: Do you have family, neighbors or friends who are unable to attend mass? If you would like to take communion to them in their homes, call the Parish Center or see a Sacristan before mass. If you do not have a pyx one will be provided.
I invite anyone who could help with this volunteer opportunity to contact me through the parish office or email me at
PREPARING THE SLIDE DECK for Mass: Each Mass has a set of slides that are used so that those who are watching Mass can pray and sing along. The preparation of the slide deck is done in concert with the music director and the celebrant. Training will be provided.
PROJECT THE SLIDE DECK from a personal computer: After the slide deck is prepared, a volunteer will operate a laptop so songs and prayers will appear on the screen at the appropriate times.
If you are interested in, or if you have questions, about these ministries contact the Parish Center during office hours [or leave a message after regular hours]. Training will be provided. If you know of someone who enjoys working with computers, please share this opportunity with them. It is preferable that more than one person would take part in each of these ministries!
THANK YOU to the 63 parishioners who attended the in-person Mass last Saturday. To Fr. Adrian who through his homily, gave us strength and hope. To John who assists where needed and makes sure everyone & everything is where it needs to be. To our Pianist Jill & Cantor Kathy, Lector Ginny, Eucharistic Ministers Ann & Joe, Ushers Tim & James, and Sacristans Mary & Ginny. Thank you to Alan, who through his talent films our masses, making it possible for many of our parishioners to take part on-line!
WE THANK those who brought the Eucharist from mass to parishioners or to their family & friends. Tim, Kathy, Ginny, Debbie, Dave, Delfina, and Ann.
THANK YOU to all who attended our 4th Lenten Fish Fry for 2021! 427 meals were purchased through Drive-Up! Thank you to Members of the Men’s Club, Rosary Society, and other parishioners who volunteered to help with set-up and clean-up! A huge Thank You to the Scouts. They took orders, delivered orders to the kitchen, and brought meals back to cars waiting in the church parking lot and on Hall Ave. All done with extraordinarily little Wait Time! If you did not have a chance to enjoy a great meal, as well as financially help our parish, you have 2 more Fridays to enjoy the experience!!
