Volunteer Opportunities and Parish Needs, 2-9-2020

Published February 8, 2020

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”  Isaiah 6:8

We need volunteers to continue the work of serving our parish and community. Currently we have 5 continuing opportunities.

PRAYER LEADER FOR STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Need volunteers to lead Stations of the Cross on Monday evenings during Lent. March 2 – April 6 at 6:30 pm. Would not be every week as we already have 2 volunteers. Books are available and volunteer musicians & cross bearer are in place.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS AT CERENITY CAMPUS

Eucharistic Ministers to distribute Communion on Tues. mornings, 9:30 – 10:30 at Cerenity Building 512. If interested contact Sister Anne Becker.

LITURGICAL MUSICIANS

In need of Choir members, Cantors & Instrumentalists. The choir sings for Sunday 10:15AM mass and practices on alternate weeks Sept-May. We practice weekly during Advent & Lent. The Choir practices at 9:15AM. Next practice will be Sun. Feb. 16th.  Cantors and instrumentalists are needed for both weekend masses.

LITURGICAL MINISTERS

Need volunteers to serve as Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers, at the Saturday 4:15pm Mass. Will train.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY

Our Liturgy of the Word sessions for young children during the Sunday 10:15 Mass continue into May, and we need helpers for Sunday Masses in March, April and May. Can you be a helper once a month during that time? You would assist the teacher with children ages 3 to 8, helping the kids find their place in a booklet, helping with crafts, etc. If yes, contact Janelle Rohr at 651-457-3522 or 651-242-6004 or email:

I invite anyone who could help with these volunteer opportunities to contact me through the parish office or email me at

THANK YOU!

We are a Volunteer Parish!!  The future of our parish depends on our dedicated volunteers.

Thank You to all who provide the beautiful music for our masses and other liturgies. We thank our Instrumentalists, Cantors and all who are Members of our Choir.

Thank You to Suzanne Clarke and Pete Rivera who volunteered for BP Screening last weekend.

First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick
question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself
and clear your head prior to writing. I have had difficulty clearing my
thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to
begin. Any ideas or hints? Thanks!
