VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES & PARISH NEEDS

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”  Isaiah 6:8

USHERS

This weekend, July 18/19, we will resume worshipping in church. As we look at the guidelines
put forth by the Archdiocese, that we need to follow as we begin a “New Normal”, we will need
additional volunteers to serve as Ushers at the Sat. 4:15 pm mass!

I invite anyone who could help with these volunteer opportunities to contact me through the
parish office or email me at

THANK YOU!

We are a Volunteer Parish!! The future of our parish depends on our dedicated volunteers.

THANK YOU to all who made it possible for the congregation to attend the Sunday Mass
online. To our celebrant Fr. Adrian who offers mass for us and through the words of his homily
gives us strength & hope as we live through these trying days. To John who assists where
needed and makes sure everyone & everything is where it needs to be. To Pianist Jill, Cantor
Richard & Singer Linda who provided the beautiful music. To Becky & Dave who presented the
readings. We are all especially grateful to Alan!! He came forward last March and offered to
film all our services. He then edits the production and puts it out on the web for all to view! He
makes it possible for us to come together and worship as a parish, during an exceedingly
difficult time. If you were not able to join the service as it happened, you can watch the mass
on the st-matts.org. Website/Facebook page or on YouTube.

THANK YOU to Fr. Adrian, John, Linda, Liturgy Comm, Parish Council, Maintenance staff and
all who have worked for the past few months, following Archdiocesan guidelines, to make our
return to church today possible!

THANK YOU to Chris, Linda & John who prepared and sent the latest parish mailing. Giving
everyone the opportunity to understand how we “Return to Church” during a Pandemic!

THANK YOU to Linda, Ann, Chris, Elaine & Patty. Our faithful Parish Center receptionists, who
returned from their 4 month “Pandemic Vacation”! Their presence returns “Normalcy” to the
building.

THANK YOU to Bob Krueger (St. Matts Class of 75) Bob volunteered to help prepare the
school for our new tenants. As he tore up the carpet in the Teacher’s Lounge ( talked about) his
years at St. Matts and of Sr. Beatrice SSND. A 2nd grade legend!
