VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES & PARISH NEEDS

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”  Isaiah 6:8

COMMUNION TO HOMEBOUND: Do you have family, neighbors or friends who are unable to attend mass? If you would like to take communion to them in their homes, call the Parish Center or see a Sacristan before mass. If you do not have a pyx one will be provided.

I invite anyone who could help with this volunteer opportunity to contact me through the parish office or email me at

PREPARING THE SLIDE DECK for Mass: Each Mass has a set of slides that are used so that those who are watching Mass can pray and sing along. The preparation of the slide deck is done in concert with the music director and the celebrant. Training will be provided.

PROJECT THE SLIDE DECK from a personal computer: After the slide deck is prepared, a volunteer will operate a laptop so songs and prayers will appear on the screen at the appropriate times.

If you are interested in, or if you have questions, about these ministries contact the Parish Center during office hours [or leave a message after regular hours]. Training will be provided. If you know of someone who enjoys working with computers, please share this opportunity with them. It is preferable that more than one person would take part in each of these ministries!

As Fr. Steve stressed at the Easter masses, “Hopefully we will soon all be able to worship together.” To once again have the need to set up extra chairs for Easter!
