SPECIAL THANK YOU to Veronica. She was in the back of the church, with a broom twice her size. She was sweeping up all the needles that had come off the wreaths that were taken down from the church walls. She was sweeping on the stone walkway in the back of the church and meticulously putting the needles into small piles to be swept into a dustpan. She was so absorbed in her project that she barely noticed the people rushing back and forth on either side. She looked up and asked, “How does this look?” “Perfect!” I said. “Next week have someone read the bulletin to you! Your name is going to be in there.”
It is people like veronica, and all the other volunteers who step forward continuously, who make it possible for our parish to continue! WE ARE A VOLUNTEER PARISH!!
