Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
PRAYER LINE: We are looking for volunteers who are willing to pray for the intentions of those who leave messages on our Prayer Line. When a prayer request is called in, the moderator of the Prayer Line will call “Prayer Volunteers” to inform them of the “Prayer Request” and those volunteers will take some time to pray for the person requesting prayers as well as the intention mentioned in the request. If you feel you can devote some time during the day to pray for those in need, please contact Mary at or call the Parish Center.
MASS RESPONSE MINISTRY
St. Matts needs volunteers at the Sat 4:15pm mass, to read the mass responses and prayers into a microphone for the pre-recorded masses. You would say the prayers and responses you always say with the congregation. Online mass participants only hear the responses if they are said into a microphone. You could do this ministry from your favorite chair in the congregation using a portable mic. This mic can be clipped to your collar or lapel and be very inconspicuous! Your assistance will help our online viewers to participate more completely in the masses. We only need 1 Mass Response Minister each week but would like enough volunteers to share the ministry. Please contact the parish office or .
THANK YOU
FUNERAL MINISTRY: Thank you to Sandy O. who has volunteered to not only help with Funeral Luncheons, but to also help as a Funeral Sacristan. We now have 2 teams available to serve as sacristans at funerals. This will help us to better serve those who are dealing with the death of a family member or friend.
Lenten Mailing: Thank you to Chris W., Chris M., Rose & Chuck, Linda, Angela, Mary & Phil who prepared the Lenten Mailing.
Metropolitan Symphony: Thank you to all who helped prepare the church for the concert last weekend. To those who helped to move furniture out of the sanctuary before the concert and then return the altar, ambo etc. when the concert ended. Thank you to the Rosary Society who provided refreshments after the concert.
Electric Panel Video: If you haven’t already viewed the video explaining the urgent need we have to replace the main electric panel, please go to the St. Matts website and watch the video. It will also help everyone to understand how important our parish is, not just for parishioners, but also for the larger neighborhood community. We hope many will want to contribute. We thank all people who have ever had St. Matt’s in their lives for making this video possible.
