Volunteer Opportunities and Parish Needs for the week of 4-24-2022

GREETERS: St. Matthews parish seeks additional “Greeters”, for Sun. masses. We welcome People who are able  to extend a warm welcome to those arriving for Mass. Your friendly smile and enthusiasm for the Church of St. Matthew are all that is needed. To help, contact: , or the parish office.

PARISH CLEAN-UP: Mark your calendars to take part in the parish Spring Clean-up. On Sat Apr. 30th, from 9am – 11am, we will gather to clean the inside of the church and chapel as well as the grounds around the buildings. Cleaning supplies will be provided. If you prefer to use your own cleaning products, feel free to do so.

THANK YOU: To all who attended the Holy Week and Easter services.  Thank You to Fr. Adrian who led us in the Palm Sunday masses, Holy Thursday Mass of the Last Supper, Good Friday Service of the Cross, the Easter Vigil, and the Easter Sunday Mass. Through his homilies he helped us understand more fully the importance of the Triduum. To Jill, our Liturgist and Music Dir. To our Pianists Brian, Jill. & Phil,  our Cantors Kathy, Shelley, Christina &  Linda. We thank Lectors Tim, Kathy, Anthony, Joanne, Karen, Mary & Joe. Eucharistic Ministers  Tom, Karen, Tim, Jerald, Maggie, Dave, Paul, Ann, Janelle, Linda, Kathy, Joanne, Florida & Ginny. Ushers Tim, Tom, Kevin, Doris,  James, Ginny & Steve. To Those who took part in the Passion readings on Palm Sunday & Good Fri. – Mary,  Jeanne, Ellen, Zach, Anthony, Kathy, Tim, & Ginny. Thank you to  Joe & Tim who carried the cross on Good Fri. and Chris & Tony who steadied the cross through the Veneration of the Cross. Thank You to Easter Vigil readers, Anthony, Miles, & Zach Isabella, Kathy & Mary who lit the candles for the congregation. To Scott who lit the Easter Fire and handled the censor.

THANK YOU: To Anthony & Isabella who led the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.

THANK YOU: To Katie, who vacuumed and dusted the church and chapel to make it beautiful for all who came to worship during the holiest of weeks!

THANK YOU: To Bob & Mary Bejblik & family who decorated the church for the Easter feast.

THANK YOU: To the families from Faith Formation who put the vigil lamps around the perimeter of the church. Walking many steps up and down the ladder to set the lights in place!

THANK YOU: To all who donated money for the Easter flowers. They added beauty to an already beautiful sanctuary.

THANK YOU: To all who attended the Holy Week services, and to the 316 people who worshipped at the Easter Vigil & Easter Sunday services! Your presence added to the joy of the season!
