Volunteer Opportunities and Parish Needs for the week of 8-7-2022

Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”  Isaiah 6:8

GARDENING: We are looking for volunteers who like to garden! A dedicated parishioner has been tending to the garden as time permits. It is too much for 1 person!! We would like to have multiple volunteers, who when they see the garden needs some attention, will take it upon themselves to do what is needed. Right now, the garden in front of the church could use some serious weeding. If someone has the time, and the tools needed, we would greatly appreciate your help. If you have any further questions you may contact the parish office at (651) 224-9793.

PAINTING PROJECT: Classrooms, in the lower level of the old section of the school, need to be painted. Quantum STEAM Academy, the tenant in our school building, will be starting a Pre-School program in the fall. We want to have those classrooms clean and “inviting” for the young students who will be joining the school. We are asking for volunteers to help paint the classrooms. If you can help with this project, call John Del Vecchio at (651) 221-0871. You may also call the parish office (651) 224-9793 and leave your name and contact number.

SATURDAY MASS FILMING: We need a volunteer to operate the slide projector during the Saturday mass filming. No experience necessary!

There is also an opportunity for anyone who might have the desire to learn more about the filming process.  Positioning the cameras and other duties that go into filming the Saturday mass for Sunday viewing. Volunteer would work under the guidance of Alan, who has been filming our masses for almost 30 months.

THANK YOU: To the 99 people who attended the Saturday mass & 97 who worshiped on Sunday.  Thank you to Fr. Leo Schneider who celebrated mass with us on Saturday & Fr. Rodger Bauman on Sunday as Fr. Steve enjoys a well-deserved vacation. To our Pianist Bryan with Phil on trumpet Saturday & Jill on Sunday.  Our cantor Cristina Saturday & Shelly on Sunday with singer Andy. Thank you to Kathy who read the announcements on Saturday and John on Sunday. We thank lectors Zach on Saturday &  Ginny on Sunday. Thank you to Steve & Josie who brought the Offertory gifts forward on Saturday. Eucharist ministers Fr. Leo, Josie, Kathy, & Tim on Saturday & Fr. Rodger, Joanne & John on Sunday. Thank You to ushers Tim, Tom, & Doris on Saturday.  Al & Steve – Sunday. To greeters Chris, Doris, Tom & Tim on Saturday. Thank you to sacristans Mary on Saturday & Joanne & Ginny on Sunday. Thank you to Tim, Corrine, Josie, Tom, Joe, & Ginny who took the Eucharist to parishioners unable to attend mass in person.

THANK YOU: To Katie who vacuums and dusts the church and chapel every week.

We are a volunteer parish
