Adult Formation

Becoming Catholic (OCIA)

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, or OCIA, is an important Sacrament designed for adults (called Candidates) who are interested in becoming Catholic, or for Catholics who wish to be confirmed. Instruction in the faith prepares people for entrance to the full life of the Church.  It may also include the rites of Baptism, First Communion, and First Reconcilation. Each candidate works with an individual sponsor who will walk with them through this unique faith journey.
