Ensuring Tuition is Not a Barrier to a Quality Catholic Education 

Alums & Friends & Families (AFF) was formed in 2007 to support St. Matthew’s School by raising funds for tuition assistance to ensure that any family seeking a Catholic education for their children.

In 2012, when St. Matthew’s School combined with schools at St. Michael and St. John Vianney to form Community of Saints (COS), AFF fundraising was critical to the school’s success.

Led by a committee of volunteers, the group seeks to connect with alums, and other supporters of Catholic education through The Good News newsletter. The publication features stories about the school, students, alums, and sometimes delves into the history of the community. 

AFF donations now represent the single largest source of income for the school, where over 70% of students qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch and over 90% receive financial aid.
